- Better Business Bureau – their goal is to advance marketplace trust and to do this they maintain business reviews. They celebrate the good, but also call out the bad. If a business screws you over, file a complaint here.
- FTC – the USA’s consumer protection agency, collects complaints about companies, business practices and identity theft.
- FCC – the Federal Communications Commission handle a lot of the services we all love to hate. If you have problems with any of the following, file a complaint with the FCC: Junk Faxes, Telemarketing, Prerecorded Messages and Do-Not-Call, Wired Telephone Service, Cell Phone Service, Internet Service and VoIP, Broadcast (TV and Radio), Cable, and Satellite Issues and Signal Interference.
- California Patient Advocate – we all know healthcare in the USA is broken, but where do you turn when you are getting screwed by your doctor or health insurance or both? If you are in California, you can turn to the Office of the Patient Advocate. They are a last resort measure when you have exhausted other options, so don’t waste their time unless you’ve made a legitimate effort to solve your problem first.
We will continue to build this list, so please share the orgs and agencies you’ve found helpful in resolving your complaints.
